PURPOSE

Every worthwhile activity or entity is founded upon a vision and usually projected or cast by a visionary. Before any public meetings were announced or launched the oversight group of CRF had clear goals.

We are:

- A Spirit-filled community church, free to preach all the Bible teaches.
- A 'Spiritual home', a local church for those whom God has led here.
- An outreach centre for evangelism, missions and church planting, whether a large or small group.
- A centre of training and sending out ministries to New Zealand and the nations.
- An education centre, raising up the next generations with thorough basics in education and the Bible.
- A local church that endeavours to strengthen other local churches and leaders in the wider body of Christ.
- A prophetic voice for revival, restoration, and reformation in the Christian Church and the nation.

Christian Renewal Fellowship is linked with other local churches and ministries for purposes of mutual strengthening, encouragement and evangelism in New Zealand and overseas. This relationship is known as Associating Churches and Ministries of New Zealand (ACMNZ). These local churches are in free association under the Lord Jesus Christ, their Risen Head.

It was understood clearly in 1977 that these goals were workable and flexible enough to serve the vision for years to come. Christian Renewal Fellowship was to be an instrument that the Holy Spirit could use as He saw fit.
